A gay Korean American man yearns for a family life that is just out of reach.

Though I am a proud gay man, I still can’t find the strength to reveal my sexuality to my family. Andrew Ahn’s short film Dol masterfully conveys so much of the alienation that occurs within family and cultural lines. Currently showing now at the Sundance Festival, Andrew’s film is one of the few short films selected to be a part of Yahoo! Audience Award competition. The movie with the top votes will win the Yahoo! Audience Award and the filmmaker will receive $5,000 to continue their creative journey as storytellers.
